extensive travels to under developed and developing countries around the
world have given me a deep understanding of, and an appreciation for,
America’s farmer’s innovative ideas, business principles, and resolve to
provide food security for both here and abroad."
Ron grew up on a small farm
in Western Conway County. Both parents’ families were farmers in Conway, Perry
and Yell County. Many family members are still involved in small scale farming
in those counties.
Ron is a graduate of ULAR
with a degree in Business Management and has over 35 years of experience in
contract and purcurent negotiations. He is currently the Senior Director,
Corporate Contracts & Procurement. He oversees negotiations of contracts,
grants, and cooperative agreements with U.S. donors, international agencies, and
other collaborators. He directs the negotiation of all institutional contracts
and agreements, including equipment, real estate, leases, as well as health,
property and liability insurance. He is a member of the Association of PVO
Financial Managers and former member of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s
Arkansas District Export Council. He is also a member of the London City
Council.
Ron and his wife Phyllis have
five children and 10 grandchildren. |
