America’s Heartland
PBS television show features positive American agriculture stories
National Farm Credit contributions are helping fund season seven of America’s Heartland on PBS. Farm Credit is committed to helping consumers see and understand first-hand how technology affects agriculture, the business of agriculture today, and the importance of sustainability and environmental issues.
From a Texas pecan farm, to CA vineyards, to a Utah cattle drive, each episode contains 3-4 segments highlighting farmers, farming, and food.
The award-winning program is the only nationally-distributed show focused on U.S. agriculture. It’s broadcast on 230 PBS stations covering 62% of the U.S. It also reaches viewers with primetime broadcasts on RFD-TV, the cable and satellite channel celebrating the rural lifestyle.
Farm Credit’s National Contributions Program uses funds pooled from all Farm Credit associations across the country to sponsor large-scale national events—something that’s impossible for individual associations to do alone. Farm Credit’s National Contributions Program gives Farm Credit a national voice and presence.
