MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Full-time position for a VP of Agribusiness who develops, grows, and services the large and specialized loan portfolio which is typically agribusiness, livestock, timber, or investments in rural America. They also buy and sell loan participations and provide industry expertise to the branch offices to help market, originate and structure complex and specialized credits, including eligibility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Three years of loan accounting experience in a financial institution or capital markets environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
  • Expert knowledge in loan lifecycle accounting and interest calculations
  • General knowledge of Farm Credit Associations, Credit Unions, or agricultural lending environments
  • General knowledge of capital markets funding, pricing, participations, or structured lending
  • Working knowledge loan accounting systems such as Loan IQ, FIS CLS or Profile, FiServ DNA or similar platforms
  • General knowledge of nonaccrual/risk asset accounting processes
  • Expert Excel skills for reconciliations and analysis
  • Skill with back-end loan accounting systems or loan subledgers
  • Skill in utilizing Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Skill in reconciling complex or high-volume loan portfolios
  • Skill in GAAP related to loans and financial instruments
  • Skill in writing clear, professional communications
  • Skill in prioritizing assignments meet deadlines in a regulated environment
